2022 Mitsubishi Outlander: Coming soon to Washington DC and Arlington, VA

Arriving this April at Ourisman Mitsubishi in Marlow Heights, the all-new 2022 Outlander brings remarkable advancements to the Mitsubishi Lineup.

Big things are just around the corner for Mitsubishi, as the automaker prepares to launch the fourth generation of the Outlander compact crossover. The new model represents such a giant leap forward that the automaker will sail right past the 2021 model year, directly into 2022, with bold new style and significant improvements to just about every aspect of the driving experience. In addition to the intriguing design refresh, the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander gets a more-capable standard powertrain, upgraded driving dynamics, and a more expansive and versatile interior. And with a wealth of available amenities, including all-new advanced driver-assistance technologies, the 2022 Outlander promises to be one of the most compelling options in the compact crossover class.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander: Performance

Under the hood, the 2022 Outlander gets a significant boost to its internal motivation from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder powerplant that makes 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, increases of 15 hp and 19 lb-ft, respectively, over the previous generations 2.4-liter. Delivering power to the front wheels, the continuously variable transmission features an 8-speed sport mode to enhance speed-change responsiveness and provide a sportier driving experience.

For enhanced handling and control in various conditions, all 2022 Outlander trim levels offer available Super All-Wheel Control 2 (S-AWC).

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander: Technology

A premium next-gen crossover deserves cutting-edge next-gen tech, and the all-new 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is no exception. Behind the steering wheel, a 7-inch multi-information display a variety of useful metrics such as driver-aid status and turn-by-turn navigation. SE and SEL Launch Editions come standard with a customizable 12.3-inch fully digital gauge cluster that allows the driver to view a wide range of driving data without turning their head away from the road.

The 2022 Outlander replaces the previous generation's standard 7-inch touchscreen with a new 8-inch Smartphone Link Display Audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. And by stepping up just one tier to the Outlander SE, Marlow Heights drivers can benefit from the new 9-inch infotainment system with integrated navigation, wireless Apple Car Play, and a wireless smartphone charger.

Standard for all but the base trim level, the all-new MI-PILOT Assist helps alleviate the stress and fatigue of a tedious commute or long trip. This advanced driver-assistance technology combines Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Keep Assist to automatically maintain a preset distance from leading vehicles while keeping the Outlander centered in its lane. It also incorporates a Traffic Jam Assist features capable of coming to a complete stop for up to 30-seconds before resuming with the flow of traffic.
